Polaris water heaters are immune to these problems and can deliver their
rated efficiency at any flow. Polaris water heaters can heat both your
home and all provide all the domestic water you can use - whether in an
open or indirect system.

Why
Condensing?
A condensing gas-fired water heater
can avoid losses associated with conventional units. Typical boilers
and non-condensing heat sources tend to short-cycle at less than full
load and leave un-recovered latent heat in condensate water produced
during the combustion process. A system which incorporates features that
minimize cycling and that recover additional heat from condensing
moisture in the flue gas stream can achieve dramatic reductions in fuel
consumption, operating costs, and emissions.
Non-condensing-type
hydronic boilers and water heaters are unable to recover the latent
heat of water in the combustion products of fuels that contain hydrogen
and are , therefore, subject to the theoretical limit of the heating
value resulting in published full-firing rate efficiencies of 78--85%.
In addition, cycling losses of 10--50% may be incurred by units
operating at less than full load. Another disadvantage with cast iron
boilers is that they must operate at 180 degrees to prevent damage from
condensation on the fireside of the vessel, this incurs additional
losses in the form of higher exhaust temperatures. Condensing heat
sources can be operated at any water temperature the radiant system
requires, assuring the highest efficiencies in any operating conditions.
